Success is never final.Failure is never fatal. It is courage that counts!
My name is Orlin Milanov. I'm from Sofia. Even if only as a hobby, I have been actively involved with raising and breeding Rottweilers ever since 1992, when there were few if any purebred Rotties in Bulgaria.
My kennel name, " v. Tishevitsa ", has been registered with the FCI (Fédération Cynologique Internationale or the World Canine Organization) since 1992 too. Without going into details, I may say that I am one of the pioneers of the breed in Bulgaria and have worked hard to ensure that my dogs are of the highest quality in terms of appearance, temperament and working abilities.
My work with Rotties has been inseparably connected with the Bulgarian National Rottweiler Club of Bulgaria (NRK), a nonprofit association whose purpose is to preserve and promote the breed in Bulgaria. I have served on the NRK Management Committee as Liaison with the International Federation of Rottweilerfriends (IFR) and Training Manager. At present, I am Chairman of the NRK Judges Committee and member of the Management Committee. I am a certified Rottweiler Judge at the club and national levels. I have judged many socialization and breed suitability tests (BH, Zt.Pr.) for the NRK.
My ROTTS are the ones who have made my name in the canine community in Bulgaria. They are the ones who have made me loved or loathed, depending on the current mood or posture in the life of the relevant "haters", as we've been calling them recently. My dogs are the ones for whom I often rise before dawn and sometimes stay awake all night. They are the ones who, apart from my few true friends, give me strength to carry on because I know they are always at my side. In good times and bad times. In moments of triumph and moments of failure. They are the ones who have taught me that it's not important to be always first. Being first is an obsession of people with an ego problem who are yet to go a long way on the path of self-development.
My dogs have shown me that what's more important is to be among the best, even if there is no one to recognize or appreciate it. They have made me realize that what's more important is to be on the true path, which neither begins nor ends with ‘MINE'S THE BEST!'... All else is vanity. And vanity is for fools.
